Position Responsibilities:

Seeking a Sales Managers to manage and grow the mass retail channel. 

This pivotal role involves working alongside the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the maintenance of the marketing and sales strategy for specific channels and/or customers within the Americas.  It includes the management of high valued sales accounts and strategically developing sales/marketing campaigns to support the development of these accounts and business strategy.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Management oversite, development and implementation of the global strategic sales and marketing plans to ensure revenue budget and operational profit targets across the Mass Retailer, Online, and TV sales channels are exceeded and revenue expense budgets are adhered too
  • Ensure the complete sales team has a clear vision of the corporate strategies and works for full implementation of the marketing and sales strategy across all team members and departments. 
  • Effectively communicate our strategic value proposition through all account presentations and proposals. 
  • Collaborate with Global Sales Managers to ensure teams are working with a solution driven focus, kept motivated, continually developing, and ensuring retention of the sales teams.
  • Lead the Sales Teams in achieving the achieving/exceeding the monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales revenue budget targets. 
  • Ensure teams are focused and held accountable for developing and converting new business prospects and achieving the monthly and quarterly revenue budget targets in addition to developing existing business with a proactive focus based on account category criteria.  
  • Develop with the teams and Sales Director the yearly sales forecast and ensuring the active management of the rolling forecast.
  • Responsible for the development and active management of all customer relationship via the various strategic planning documents (CRM, Brand Plans, Rolling Forecast, Sales Strategic Plan, Quarterly Reporting) 
  • Delivering progress updates on sales channel performance, customer strategies and market trends, while providing industry updates to the Sales Director, and Executive Management Team on a weekly/ monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Lead teams in completion of the monthly revenue reports and all quarterly reporting in terms of revenue by channel, overall customers performance, marketplace conditions, and business prospects 
  • Work to align the sales teams across all departments in the business and lead the teams in collaboration, problem solving, consistent communication and elimination of all pinch points impacting business progress to ensure customer/market demands are met.
  • Ensure customers are being responded to in a timely manner both for B2B and B2C channels. Meet all deadlines related to the required regular reporting, presentations, and all projects as well as providing timely feedback to team and Sales Director.
  • Review and implement the sales admins, account coordinator, and team lead KPI’s, conduct quarterly performance evaluation and keep the incentive tracker updated on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Be proactive with maintaining a regular customer meeting schedule and attend key meetings with team members/ Sales Director. The role will also involve travel to trade/ consumer events as required. Be proactive in suggesting key events and staying informed with industry activity.
  • Work with the sales team to identify and regularly provide the product development team with potential new growth areas or concepts and trends within the industry. 
  • Process improvements – both within the Sales department and proactively suggesting process improvements on a company level. Propose ideas to ensure the team are working as efficiently as possible.
  • Work closely with other departments including Marketing and Product Development to develop strong customer campaigns which will strengthen Ellison’s position
  • Supporting Supply Chain with visibility of customer pre-orders and forecasting for peak periods of demands based on seasonality or events promoting a balanced and health supply and reducing potential out of stocks 
  • Support with implementing an omnichannel strategy across customers and with internal marketing teams

Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of domestic or global/international sales and/or marketing experience with 3+ years in a management role leading a team
  • Advance proficiency preferred in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a good understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Able to travel up to 35% to customers, shows, events; and the rest of the time spent at the Corporate Office (Lake Forest, CA)
  • Must keep up with developments in the Americas as well as the Global craft industry and spot/anticipate trends
  • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
