Position Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing will be a member of the leadership team and responsible for all marketing functions. Set long-term strategic direction for the marketing department and the company. This position will also be a part of a global marketing team directing global strategies for such.
Responsibilities:
- Technical and disciplinary management of the team (5 direct reports).
- Development and implementation of the marketing strategy
- Independent management, control, and optimization of all marketing channels
- Close internal cooperation with management and other departments
- Continuous market and competition analysis
- Oversight of all product development and trade marketing activities daily.
- Maintain key contact with key customers (senior management) monthly.
- Develop and monitor short and long-term strategy for the marketing department monthly
- Lead monthly team meetings.
- Monitor actual marketing expenses to budget monthly.
- Communicate weekly with other executives about market conditions/trends/threats.
- Determine departmental needs/shortfalls and take corrective action on an annual basis.
- Act as liaison with operations regarding marketing vs. operational issues daily.
- Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends; identify target consumer
- Determine the positioning of the product category
- Create go-to-market strategies
- Responsible for budget development and revenue of the category
- Establish performance specifications and cost & price parameters

Experience Required:
- Experience in branding or category management with consumer products is required (high SKU counts)
- 10 years of related experience and/or training
- 7 years of management experience
