The Market Intelligence Manager is a key member of the Market Intelligence (MI) team. S/he is a leader on the MI team, driving research efforts to support sales, marketing and strategic initiatives, by identifying and tracking market trends and opportunities, product and solution positioning, customer experience, brand awareness, on-going competitive intelligence and market assessment. This MI Manager will strengthen the function’s core research and analyticcapabilities to drive meaningful competitive strategy. The person will work across many functions and organizational levels, and have significant visibility within Omnicell, including regular direct exposure to executive leadership. Essential Functions This Market Intelligence Manager opening is the research and analytic SME to partner with stakeholders across functions to drive our strategy forward to achieve company goals.

 

To be successful, the Market Intelligence Manager is expected to:

• Help enhance existing offerings, by assessing gaps in market needs, and exploring potential product adjacencies for further monetization opportunities

• Help identify and assess growth opportunities in a mature market

• Segment and size different product markets f

• Develop and maintain in-depth competitive landscape profile for each current and emerging product and market segment

• Lead complex and sophisticated primary and secondary research to generate insights on the industry, existing and emerging competitors, as well as market and product technology trends

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to derive actionable, insightful recommendations

• Conduct deep dives into emerging healthcare / healthcare IT trends to drive meaningful strategy

• Manage key vendor relationships, including but not limited to KLAS and the Advisory Board

• Liaise with MI peers and Strategy colleagues on organic and inorganic growth opportunities crossing care settings

• Participate in gathering competitive intelligence efforts at key tradeshows like ASHP and ongoing efforts

• Execute on MI initiatives and projects as directed

 

Required Knowledge And Skills

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience leading complex primary and secondary research projects, being creative and scrappy when desired data may be limited

• Experience tracking competitive landscape

• Exceptional analytical, communication and creative problem solving skills, scrappy when necessary

• Maturity to handle ambiguity and adaptive to dynamic environment

• Strong self-starter, capable of leading and driving projects without supervision toward achieving results

• Demonstrated ability to establish productive working relationships with dynamic and varied personalities

• Comfortable presenting to and interacting with peers and all levels of management with clear, concise articulation and poise

• Exceptional MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of previous work experience in similar Market Intelligence/intelligence

• Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Business, Economics or a quantitative Social Science discipline); Master’s Degree desirable
