Position Responsibilities:

The Manager Consumer Insights will lead the consumer agenda for existing business, as well as innovation against company brands. They will work collaboratively with Marketing, Product Management and Sales to develop brand and innovation strategy that is grounded in consumer understanding. 


  • Provide both qualitative and quantitative research support across the full portfolio of company Brands. Both secondary and primary research approaches will be utilized to gather and interpret data
  • Manage in the planning and development of custom research initiatives to meet strategic needs and objectives, including methodology design, questionnaire/survey input
  • Provide in depth analysis and interpretation of data, with the goal of providing strategic and actionable insights that address the needs of the business through thoughtful strategic reporting and presenting to cross functional teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Design, Innovation, Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Category Management, and Sales
  • Demonstrate holistic thinking, strategic agility, and leadership with all levels of the organization
  • Develop and present strategic and actionable recommendations to key internal constituents
  • Manage and coach Consumer Insight team members
  • Champion insights and a consumer-centric focus throughout the organization
  • Support and actively participate in the Customer Relationship Forums (CRFs).  Within CRFs, serve as subject matter expert in Consumer Insight, Competitive Intelligence, and Industry trends; presenting to customers in these areas
  • Support the collaborative business planning process for key retailers

Experience Required:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably with a branded, consumer-packaged-goods company, or combination of supplier-side and manufacturer-side experience
  • Experience with analytics software (i.e., SPSS) and survey programing platforms
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and especially PowerPoint
  • Excellent written & verbal communication/storytelling skills in addition to well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail, and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
