The company is seeking a travel industry veteran to join their team as a Tour Director. Tour Directors are responsible for planning and executing world class, group golf excursions for their exclusive clientele on chartered luxury vessels around the world. The successful candidate will have extensive international travel experience working with discriminating members in high service environments. Candidates must be extremely organized and resourceful problem solvers who understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships with clients.
The ability to comfortably interact and engage with guests and ensure positive memorable experiences on their journeys is of paramount importance. While golf is not a daily requirement for Tour Directors, candidates must understand the game and golf event operations.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential characteristics necessary to excel as a Tour Director. An in-depth understanding of the highest levels of service and the ability to seamlessly execute complex itineraries is critically important.
Candidates must enjoy working in a team environment with other experienced Tour Directors, and Tour Administrators to ensure industry leading customer service and golf experiences for clients.
Tour Directors are responsible for the logistics of all aspects of each tour for approximately 90-100 guests. They coordinate with experienced European support staff to ensure the smallest of details are proactively anticipated and managed.
In addition to the golf component of every tour, daily activities for those not wishing to golf every day are organized and executed by the Tour Directors. Detailed tour binders are created identifying every aspect of each tour including contingent plans for unforeseen obstacles and weather related challenges. The Tour Director’s ability to manage and communicate change ensuring guests are well accommodated throughout the entire tour is critical.
Candidates must enjoy and embrace international travel and the many nuances associated with the responsibility of ensuring discriminating guests are well looked after. Ability to socialize with clients in a professional and comfortable manner while managing the details of a complex itinerary is critically important.
