Position Responsibilities:

Overall goal: to manage the Marketing, PR, North American Website Content, and Brand Development of the company, in order to strategically drive the business to achieve its aggressive sales targets.

• To take full responsibility for achieving the direct sales target and to work closely with the Business Development Team to support the achievement of trade sales targets
• To lead and motivate the Marketing with clearly defined objectives, processes and KPIs and to communicate campaign plans internally and externally, winning buy-in from all stakeholders
• To lead the way on brand development in North America and in destination, through improved customer insight and in collaboration with overseas offices
• Development and implementation of a clear customer acquisition and retention strategy, making maximum use of and further developing the in-house customer database and CRM system and ensuring an optimised data exchange between the CRM and Sales systems
• Planning and implementation of fully integrated marketing and PR campaigns, working closely with external PR, Advertising and Marketing agencies
• To compose, design and execute a broad spectrum of direct and trade marketing activity including, but not limited to: US & Canadian website offers and content management; e-mailings/newsletters; social media campaigns; national press (and potentially TV and radio) advertising, direct mail, sponsorships and event management
• To critically post-evaluate all marketing activity with view to continuously improving ROI and provide meaningful MI reporting
• To manage the company’s marketing budgets, maintaining tight control whilst having flexible dynamics in place to adjust the budgets dependent on growth forecasts
• To manage and coordinate in conjunction with HQ, the North American annual brochure production and distribution process 
• To develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers including airlines and tourist boards to secure marketing and pricing opportunities; and optimise supplier subvention of marketing activity
• Carry out regular competitor analysis and be always conscious of the trends and activity within our market place
• Liaise with our PR agency and regularly provide relevant information to assist with generating positive coverage for the company
• Write online blogs and other online articles to help promote e-commerce activity
• To ensure all North American web content is SEO optimized and current in every aspect

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong commercial, analytical and numeracy skills
• Ability to plan ahead and deliver on time
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
• Strong creative flair, vision and attention to detail
• Good knowledge and understanding of the North American travel trade and consumer media landscape
• High energy, positive “can do” spirit and strong team ethic
• Aptitude to learn various CRM and Marketing Applications
• Experience of various creative design systems/applications
• Significant E-Commerce experience is a must (Digital; Social Media; Website)
• PPC Management (including keyword research and competitor analysis)
• SEO understanding and content writing experience
• Frequent user of Facebook and Twitter
• Engaging Blog writer
• Good understanding and experienced user of Analytics (Google Analytics or similar)
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Excellent copy writing/content development and ad creative skills and ability to accurately proof online and offline marketing collateral
• Degree level education with a minimum 7 years marketing experience
