The focus is on new business development - opening new accounts. Someone to drive new business in DIY/Hardware, drug, grocery, discount/value, Walmart, Target, etc.
Description:
The Dir of Business Development drives sales success by understanding customer needs, staying informed about the market, and effectively presenting products or services. Their cross-functional collaboration and strategic approach contribute significantly to the overall success of the sales team.
- Drive sales and profitability with new customers and markets.
- Primary liaison between assigned customer territory and the company.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers to build trust and loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional products or services to meet the evolving needs of the customer base, contributing to increased sales.
- Discussing with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements and finalize sales transactions.
- Address and resolve customer issues or concerns in a timely, effective manner.
- Conducting research to understand market trends and collecting data on customer preferences allows the company to tailor its products or services accordingly.
- Providing feedback from customer interactions to the product development team for continuous improvement.
- Development and implementation of special promotions designed to boost sales.
- Monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels with key customers and ensuring the displayed products meet quality standards.

Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Sales
- Experience in the Arts and Crafts Industry is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to sell ideas and concepts both internally and externally effectively
- Track record of successfully prospecting and developing new customers while also maintaining and growing existing customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good listening skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and navigate challenges while maintaining positive connections

- Ability to work well within a team but also achieve desired results Individually
