Position Responsibilities:

The National Account Manager - Amazonis the primary point of contact within E-Commerce and performs as the project manager and team lead who evaluates, prioritizes, develops, manages, and implements all E-Commerce Initiatives. We're looking for an expert who is passionate about analytics, understands how to drive sales online, and can work across many brands, product categories, and e-com retailers.

 

Account Management – Focus directly on sales and profitability growth through managing Amazon.com and other e-commerce accounts and venues. You will ensure all of our products are listed optimally across all platforms. This individual will manage numerous merchant and vendor relationships to ensure timelines and expectations are met regarding product launches, marketing campaigns, inventory management, and ongoing account management. You will interact daily with vendor and seller central and key account portals. This role will primarily supervise but must also be able to personally upload new items, add enhanced content such as photography and videos, create variation listings, delete non-performers, and discontinue items within our system. You will ensure customer satisfaction, negotiate trading terms and vendor contracts, and onboard new e-commerce trading partners.

 

Online sales strategy – Develop and implement an overall online sales strategy that supports sales growth, engagement/conversions across multiple sales channels, including B2C, B2B, marketplaces, and our website. Collaborate on maximizing our corporate website for E-Commerce via the development and implementation of promotional and sales strategies to maximize growth. Optimize all online content to increase traffic and improve SEO. Analyze site metrics, customer feedback, and other related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, increase item rankings, and drive revenue growth. This is a highly visible role, and you will work closely with senior executives and other team members to efficiently integrate our online sales optimization strategies.

 

Project Management – Work daily with the SVP of Sales, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing team members, and other departments to ensure key e-commerce projects and initiatives are moving forward and are on schedule. Take action to resolve issues and identify improvements proactively. Make sound trade-offs of time, effort, and resources to manage multiple demands effectively. Summarize and disseminate information on time and thoroughly communicate throughout the organization. The ability to synthesize data to accurately assess situations and find actionable solutions to keep things moving forward is critical. You must understand the long-term business and financial implications of decisions made.

 

Digital Marketing strategy – Focus on ensuring we maintain a good return on investment on all digital marketing campaigns from PPC and other accounts / channel-specific marketing efforts. Serve as point person in tracking feature performance. Monitor feature/ad orders to ensure that shipments are timely and supportive.

 

E-Commerce Infrastructure/Technology Strategy – Collaboratively develop our E-Commerce technology strategy and infrastructure required to support our overall E-Commerce initiatives, including hardware/software, vendor support, ERP integrations and shopping cart platforms direct connections to our websites, our direct accounts, and 3rd party marketplaces.

 

Working with outside vendors – Work with a vast array of outside technology vendors and partners who help support our Digital objectives about analytics, marketplace accounts, credit card processing networks, shipment methods, etc, to find the best solutions to fit our E-Commerce needs.

 

Reporting & Analytics – Build and maintain a suite of analytics tools, to track website performance and sales while maintaining separate P&L for the E-Commerce Division so we can measure profitability.

 

Coordination with Operations – Work hand in hand with the operations team to ensure our entire digital sales channel is up and running efficiently. Assist with warehouse operations and systems integrations with our shopping cart platform, shipping management software, ERP system, and warehouse integrations. Monitor sales, inventory, and customer-specific operational performance. Partner with operations and finance to set standards and minimize chargebacks.

 

Coordination with Accounting – Assist accounting with setup, integration, and processing of all web-based payment systems such as credit card processing, PayPal Payments, and Credit transactions. Assist in gathering information and helping to reconcile post-audit claims, chargebacks, and other account issues. Lead communication to settle disputes and discrepancies.

 

Coordination with E-Commerce Channel Marketing and Traditional Marketing – Work closely with our marketing team on developing product images and video assets and overall enhanced content for use online in our digital campaigns and product listings. Work with our E-Commerce Channel Marketing Manager to identify new product configurations and/or designs to grow sales. Work closely with traditional Marketing Brand Teams, Marketing Communications, and Channel Marketing during the implementation of new product listings or updating existing product information.

Experience Required:

A strong understanding of digital marketing basics such as content optimization, SEO, & SEM will be critical to the position's success. A successful candidate can analyze data and information and turn that into actionable growth initiatives. Being able to collaborate in a team environment will be critical to the candidate's overall effectiveness and success, and being very detail-oriented and accurate are absolute musts.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Web Development, E-Commerce, Web Technologies, Digital Marketing, or equivalent business experience. MBA is a plus.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in E-Commerce sales and the various forms of Digital Commerce with Amazon.com selling experience.
  • Proven understanding of web and E-Commerce technologies, as well as digital marketing platforms, shopping cart systems, ERP systems, accounting & reporting
  • Proven ability as a strategic thinker and able to put together sustainable long-term E-Commerce growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently within a corporate structure and a small to a medium-sized business environment.
  • Data-driven highly accurate individual with the ability to identify the required KPI's and sale metrics to gauge the overall success and profitability of our E-Commerce business.
  • Personable and able to collaboratively work with internal departments: Finance, Operations, Creative, Customer Service, and Sales to get things done
  • Excellent computer skills – proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and highly knowledgeable in PC shortcuts. Demonstrated proficiency with using and building Excel spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Vendor Central, AMS, Seller Central, key account portals, and Google Ad Words is a must. Experience with Channel Advisor, Ecomdash, Commerce Hub and/or Access Database a plus.
