Position Responsibilities:

BUSINESS REVIEW AND PLAN DEVELOPMENT

  • Category, brand, and competitive analysis to deliver semi-annual business reviews
  • Work with Extended Brand Team to develop Plan objectives, strategies and tactics

EXECUTION OF PLAN DETAILS

  • Work with outside agencies to execute plan details – may include PR, packaging, advertising, consumer promotions, media planning and in-store communications
  • Communication of executional elements to Brand Team, Sales and other internal customers
  • Manage costs to brand budget

INSIGHT GENERATION FROM DATA AND COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

  • Track retail and factory sales trends
  • Analysis of competitive activity and trends
  • Review of primary and secondary consumer research

SALES SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION

  • Develop sales materials and other sales communication tools
  • Communicate brand plans and executional details to Sales
  • Review local market support requests

BUDGET FORECASTING

  • Responsible for development and ongoing tracking of brand budget
  • Assist Business Development and Logistics in development/execution of production forecast

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

  • Identify consumer insights that lead to the development of line extensions and new product opportunities
  • Assist with consumer research activities – may include advertising research, positioning research, awareness tracking, etc.
  • Assist with line extension and new product launches

Experience Required:

Degrees:

Bachelor’s Degree of Arts or Science in Marketing or related field

MBA or related advanced degree preferred

Years of Experience:

2-5 years consumer marketing or related (e.g. market research, sales) experience

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong analytical and communications skills.
  • Experience with IRI/Nielsen/Numerator syndicated data and Household Panel information.
  • Experience with primary marketing research techniques a plus
  • Digital/Online Marketing experience a plus, but not required
Education Required:
MBA pref.
