Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Experience in a supply-chain or material-related position, preferably supporting a manufacturing operation. Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:
Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of ERP systems (preferably InforLN or Oracle,) Oracle MRP Planning Environment and Microsoft Excel needed
Must be able to develop and execute an MRP plan using business system and desktop applications
Knowledge of electronic (hi-rel) parts requirements and associated processes is needed
Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are needed in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers and suppliers
APICS CPIM certification or other education relevant to this field is desirable
A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required
Minimum of two years related experience.
