Position Responsibilities:

The Social Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing social marketing content according to marketing plan and brand strategy. Responsible to grow brand awareness, engagement and retention via digital platforms, email marketing, influencer marketing, PR, cause support marketing and event marketing. 

Collaborate with EVP of Marketing and Director of E-commerce to grow e-commerce revenues, leveraging SEO and other e-commerce analytics and insights.  Collaborate with marketing team to develop and leverage brand and creative assets.   The ideal candidate will possess prior social marketing management experience working with omni-channel housewares, sporting goods, consumer product and/or lifestyle brands and will have a track record of successfully growing brand metrics and e-commerce revenues.

  1. Collaborate with EVP of Marketing and Director of E-commerce to develop comprehensive social marketing calendar of digital and in-person events, in support of marketing plan and brand strategy. 
  2. Execute social marketing calendar across digital platforms, including takeyausa.com, blog, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter.  Consistently increase followers across all platforms.   
  3. Lead copy writing needs for all social marketing, including the website.
  4. Develop and execute editorial calendar filled with engaging content for blog that drives traffic to website.
  5. Lead planning and execution of in-person social marketing events.
  6. Lead planning and execution of segmented email marketing efforts.  Consistently grow email subscriber database.
  7. Collaborate with marketing leadership team to develop then execute digital and in-person events in support of relevant causes.
  8. Working collaboratively with internal and external teams, project manage all digital and in-person events, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. 
  9. Lead all social marketing events from concept to execution.  Responsible to create event briefs for internal and external creative leads, including objectives and copy.  Responsible to post all digital events.
  10. Monitor and ensure prompt and appropriate responses to consumer inquiries on all digital platforms.  Collaborate with internal customer service team to develop guidelines for consumer inquiries.
  11. Develop and manage influencer network in support of marketing plan and brand strategy.
  12. Develop and manage effective PR campaign, leveraging digital and traditional media in conjunction with social marketing calendar.
  13. Develop and manage external social media and PR resources.
  14. Together with Director of E-commerce, continually optimize all content using SEO and all available analytics insights.  Continually improve content to grow e-commerce revenue and brand metrics.
  15. Collaborate with marketing leadership team to ensure brand voice and campaign are consistently on strategy.

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of social marketing experience, ideally in a consumer product, omnichannel (online and brick & mortar retail) environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful experience managing social marketing campaigns, with demonstrated history of e-commerce revenue growth and brand awareness, engagement and loyalty growth.
  • Strong experience with a broad range of digital marketing technology platforms and software.
  • Social marketing management experience with websites, blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, segmented e-mail marketing, influencers and PR at a minimum. Shopify, Mail Chimp, Hootsuite & Base Camp experience a plus.   
  • Exceptional project management, organization and communication skills. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, with both internal and external resources.
  • Experience planning and leading hands-on social marketing events.
  • Experience incorporating SEO and other analytics into social marketing campaigns.
  • Strong experience copy-writing, including drafting website product descriptions, drafting event briefs, writing detailed copy and proof reading.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Impeccable written and spoken English, including grammar and spelling.  Good in-person presentation skills.
